How to Plan Your Budget for Delhi to Shimla Trip?

PRO TIP: Opt for public transports and homestays during your trip.

We planned our trip for 3D 2N. Here is the complete budget chart-

Take Himachal Transport Bus- Rs. 533/- Each Side

We started our trip from Kashmere Gate ISBT, New Delhi. There are frequent buses available for Shimla from there.

Bus fare Rs. 533/- per person. Always carry cash, ticket counters do not accept digital payment modes or cards. #budgettripshimla

Total Cost for Both Side Bus Fare- Rs. 1066/-

Stay at Homestay- Rs. 500/- Per Day

There are beautiful Homestays in Shimla that are safe and cheap.

Most people stay at hotels near the main tourist spot, those areas are costlier. We stayed 7km away from Mall Road at an aesthetically beautiful homestay (I'll update more details about it in the next blog). #shimlahomestay

The stay at the homestay cost us Rs. 1500 for two days, which is divided into three of us. We therefore pay 1000 rupees every individual.

Total Cost for Two Days Stay- Rs. 1000/-

Local Food

When travel to different city or state it is best to try local foods to get the flavor of the place which are also very affordable.

Total Cost (approx)- Rs. 1200/-

Make Your Conveyance Affordable - Rs. 624/-

The Mall Road is near the New Bus Stand, to reach there you can take local bus from any bus stand at Rs. 12/-

Walk all the away to Mall Road from New Bus Stand.

To reach Jaku Temple take a cab Rs. 450/- (150 per person)

TOTAL Conveyance- Rs. 624/-

TOTAL BUGET of the TRIP- Rs. 3890/-
